Co-Founders: Jeff & Alisyn Gardiner
Jeff and Alisyn Gardiner created DAD'S HOUSE with one mission in mind: to help other dads who are in the fight.
After walking through their own custody battle, they saw firsthand how broken the system can be for biological fathers. Jeff spent years having to fight — just to see his son, just to be informed, just to be involved. Every step required permission. Every step demanded that he prove himself worthy of being a father. Steps that biological mothers often don't have to take.
“Dads are told to prove themselves before they’re allowed to parent.”
Alisyn grew up in a split home and stepped into the fight as a stepmom, expecting co-parenting to look like what she knew — four parents working together, where boundaries weren't overstepped. But she quickly saw things from a whole new perspective. What she saw was a great father doing everything right, yet still being treated like a visitor in his own child’s life — not by the courts alone, but by a co-parenting dynamic where power wasn’t shared equally.
Their story is proof that fighting for what’s right can lead to lasting change.
Today, Jeff and Alisyn share 50/50 custody of their son, co-parent actively, and are raising additional children together — whose lives, too, have been impacted by the reality of sharing their brother.
As they raise their boys, Jeff and Alisyn are committed to setting an example: to stand up for what’s right, to speak the truth even when it’s hard, and to show their sons that fatherhood matters. They’re not just building DAD’S HOUSE for themselves — they’re standing beside every father and family still fighting for their place.
DAD'S HOUSE was born out of that mission: to help other dads — and the people who stand beside them — find the resources, community, and support they need to keep fighting the good fight.
We shouldn’t have to exist.
But we do.
Because every day, biological fathers are forced to fight for something they should have never had to fight for: the right to be present in their kids’ lives.
DAD’S HOUSE exists to support dads—and those who stand beside them—through education, community, and real-life resources that help them fight the good fight.
One dad.
One kid.
One community at a time.
